    Description

    The
1996 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship Game
was held on December 7, 1996, at
    The
    Trans World Dome, in
    St. Louis
    ,
    Missouri
. The divisional winners from the
    Big 12 Conference
squared off in the 1st edition of the game. The
    Texas Longhorns
represented the South Division and the
    Nebraska Cornhuskers
represented the North Division. This coat was given to Nebraska Athletic Director Bill Byrne.  Bill Bryne was the Athletic Director from 1992-2002.  He oversaw the Million facility development that included skyboxes at Memorial Stadium.  This coat is truly 1 of 1.  Size XL.  Doesn't look like it was hardly worn.  Amazing piece of Nebraska sports history.
