Here up for sale is what appears to be a very soft-haired or fur Molly's dog Bennett made in West Germany, probably from the 1980s made by the Pleasant Company before it became American Girl.  It's possible it could also be something produced by the same or another company that 'inspired' the Pleasant Company dogs, so use your judgment there.   It somewhat resembles a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel so I'm told, but I'm no dog expert.
It measures 4.5" long, not counting the tail.  The eyes and nose make a hard sound when tapped with a fingernail but I can't say for sure if they are glass or some other material.  The hard body doesn't give when squeezed, and is hollow to some extent, as I can hear a couple of crumbs of loose material when it is shaken.  There are numerous seams in the body fur as shown.  It has a manufactures sticker on the bottom marked W. Germany, which contains some symbol I can't make sense of.  Condition is used with a matted 1/2" long imperfection spot on the left side upper rear leg area, but overall the dog looks quite nice.
