Vintage, ~Merrimack~ Cotton Twill Basketball Gym Shorts.
from the early 1920's to early 1930's.
Drab Tan, Cotton twill fabric.  Button-fly, with 1/2 belt at front waist.
Padded , interior panels at Hips. (pictured)
Stencil 'Merrimack' at inside, under Hip pads (both shown in close-ups)
Size:  No Size tags intact ,  Be sure to see measurements below
Measurements:
Waist (straight across waistband //  x  2): approx.  16 1/2"  ( //  33" total)
Length (back of waistband to Leg end):  10 1/2"  at side.
