Vintage Antique Staffordshire Portrait Figure, Charles 1, 19th Century

Description

A Victorian Portrait Figure of Charles l, the second Stuart king. Charles the First reigned from 1625 to 1649. the figurine stands 11.75" x 8" x 3" and can be found in Pugh's "Staffordshire Portrait Figures", page A172, plate 96, figure 258. The Staffordshire figures were produced between 1740 and 1900 believed to be made by Sampson Smith. Condition is good with age related wear.
